Two Happy Heads are better than one, but nine are freaking awesome! Happy Head Massage started just 8 years ago when two American tourists toured the streets of Saigon. In Vietnam, you’ll see hundreds of mopeds with chickens, street vendors selling toilet paper, and lots of really cool massage parlors. Some are good. Some are bad. And most are just plain dirty, almost like what you’d see in the states. But one of those massage establishments caught the attention of these two tourists looking to explore this wonderful city. With glowing neon lights and bright signs, one of them stood out from the rest. One sign flashed with the words “come massage your head and be happy.”
As they walked through the doors into what would best be described as a grimy massage parlor, five bucks later they received one of the best head massages that anyone could have ever hoped for. Fast forward six months later and back home in San Diego, the memory of this wonderful massage got them once again craving for an irresistible massage. But searching for a great massage without the spa price in San Diego wasn’t easy. A great massage without the spa price in a nice environment just didn’t exist. What they found in most of the Asian style massage parlors in San Diego were dirty massage parlors, poor service, inconsistent quality, and cheap prices which were still worth less than the price. And paying a higher price only got them stuck with memberships and contracts at spas that they didn’t want to frequent or prices that were unreasonably high.
And then the Happy Head was born. It started with just one simple idea: a great massage without the spa price. Happy Head Massage offers a clean and professional massage establishment that puts high-end higher priced spas to shame. And as for the low end cheap massage parlors, there’s just no comparison. By creating a massage establishment that requires no contracts and no memberships, they became the premier place in San Diego to get a great massage at an affordable price. People regularly come to the Happy Head because they want to, not because they have to. And that was the beginning of the Happy Head.
Happy Head Foot and Reflexology and Massage continues to expand to ensure that everyone can get a great massage without the spa price. A little over a year ago they opened their first Chula Vista location. The demand for Happy Head exceeded their expectations and now in an effort to offer better services to the residents of Chula Vista the Happy Head is opening a second new location at the Terra Nova Shopping Center at 316 East H Street, Suite 703, Chula Vista, CA 91910. Their newest location will open November 1, 2019.
So what’s next on Happy Head Massage’s agenda? It all depends on you. The public has made it very clear that they are tired of massage establishments forcing memberships and locking them into contracts that are hard to break. They are tired of high end spas charging ridiculously high fees. They are tired of low end massage parlors offering dirty and grimy services. The Happy Head has changed all that by offering exceptional massage services at affordable prices and will continue to provide our customer happy massages for years to come.

ALthough there are some good clean massage places in Bangkok, where the foot massages are 250 Bahts per hour, or about 8.50 USD, traveling 20,000 miles round trip makes little sense. Whenever I am in La Jolla I go to the Pacific Beach location but am still waiting for you to open a location in La Jolla at the shopping center where Nordstrom’s Rack, Whole Foods and CVS is situated, or next block where Ralph’s is located.

Thanks for your comment. Yep Thailand has some pretty awesome massages. Our next new location will be opening in Chula Vista in November 2019 but we’re definitely keeping our eye on the La Jolla area. The traffic in an out of La Jolla though can almost be as bad as the Bangkok traffic.
