Find yourself freaking out the minute you hear someone sneeze? Get dirty looks from people around you as soon as you get a cough? Coronavirus has got the world panicking, but there are simple steps to minimize the risk of contamination. Here’s some extra measures recommended by the CDC that you can take to help prevent the spread of respiratory diseases, including:

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
  • CDC does not recommend that people who are well wear a facemask to protect themselves from respiratory diseases, including COVID-19.
  • Face-masks should be used by people who show symptoms of COVID-19 to help prevent the spread of the disease to others. The use of facemasks is also crucial for health workers and people who are taking care of someone in close settings (at home or in a health care facility).
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.

When selecting a massage establishment, be sure to go to spas that are clean, have a good track record, and aren’t what we’d refer to as “whole-in-the-wall fly-by-night massage” establishments.

  • We ensure that all our linens, tables, and equipment are thoroughly cleaned for each and every customer.
  • None of our staff are allowed to work sick and receive plenty of time off for sick days.
  • While many of our massage therapists are Asian, none of the staff have recently been to China, especially with the travel restrictions in place
  • We follow a strict set of sanitary guidelines presented by the health department and the CDC to ensure you get the safest, healthiest, best massage experience possible
  • If you’re concerned and would like your therapist to wear a face mask, just ask the front desk. We’ll be happy to provide it.
